Callendra Schutze is a PHX Local who specialized in the arts of Black & White Film Photography, both traditional and burlesque dance and has been within the art and music scene since she was 13. Currently she’s a black & film photography instructor teaching students how to develop film and create prints through traditional and not so traditional techniques.
Married to an AZ local musician her current portfolio is filled with live music and behind the scenes music shots of him and his fellow music mates, but she’s also no stranger to portraits, still life, and abstract self portraits. However her specialty lies within the darkroom space bringing her works to life in the traditional analog space.
As a young girl when music and art became her calling, her first spiritual awaking, she knew that she wanted to bring all her work to life in one space, and that’s when she knew photojournalism was something she wanted to pursue. So here is where she chooses to finally get her start and allow herself to work out the kinks, rework ideas, and expand her vision as far as she can.
